Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

So mainly focus on the product strategy, product roadmap, product specifications and functionality and prd documentation etc
do they ask about prioritization or Guesstimates as well?
It's varies a lot actually. Depends on the hiring manager and the company. For someone switching from a non-product role, they usually go with the generic rounds that you see everyone posting online.
For folks with previous product exp. they can ask what their contributions were, impact, daily routine, they'll also throw some hypothetical scenarios n ask you how you would tackle/solve them, product strategy or GTM discussion on a hypothetical product, etc.
First try interviewing with companies you're not so keen on joining. You'll get a good sense around it and will also improve your confidence. Then start interviewing for your target companies.
