Hi, I'm close to getting an offer at and have tech stack of Fabric Data Engineer along with Azure Data Engineer and Databricks and carry 10.3 years of Experience and also hold 7 cerifications on all of the above. Interview process went well and although they have budget of 44lpa they are lowball to 36lpa since anything above this requires higher management approval. Currently I'm underpaid with 29.50 LPA gross. contd in cmts

Push them to 40 fix atleast which is right in the middle and appropriate as per market and your YOE.

For manager position they will stick at 36 fixed. Bonus is variable which they can give more depending upon your performance. But there is no guarantee of getting more bonus. Take the offer, resign and keep searching on basis of this offer. You can renegotiate again at the end

You are saying 29.5 LPA as underpaid, which is stupidity. Many don't even cross 25 LPA same or more experience than you.
You are saying that the organisation need mgmt approval to provide 44LPA, that means they didn't see you as only candidate fulfills their requirement. If they found you as the best candidate, company pays whatever you ask for.
Finally when you are expecting 35+ LPA means you should be in a position to decide what is right and what is wrong, also which is best and not.
