What’s the deal with these start-ups not hiring people with actual insurance experience?

Hi fishes! Currently working as manager in leading insurance company. YOE-2. Edu- btech in CS from DU and MBA in marketing and analytics from GLIM Chennai. Tools and technology: sql, R, python, qliksense, tableau, stats, ML, big data tools. CTC:14L. Expected 22L. I want to move towards BA manager role. Loc- bangalore. Any referrals or suggestions?

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out. Has anyone else felt this way? How did handle it? Is there a different career path I can take or am I destined to sell insurance forever?

Any reviews for Swiss Re as a company? I'm close to getting an offer and want to particularly know about the following:

2. Paid time off (leave) policy
3. General culture (including WFH support)
4. Work life balance
5. Typical increment and bonus levels (VP level preferably)

Going through a rough patch, mental-health wise. I have always been a high performer and dont back down from challenges. But this past month something feels off in my head and I have 0% motivation for anything at the moment. Brief run down: work-stress, meeting expectations, fear of failure, imposter-syndrome, negative self-image (probably from all the time I spend on IG… might need therapy. 🥲

Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). Need some advice. Currently 32 YO with $23.7k in student loans, $60k in retirement, and $54k in cash. Want to pay off loans by end of year, max out 401k, and save for a house. Does it make sense to use $10k from pension to pay down loans and the rest from cash? How much should I have in my 401k by this point?
