$1500/month + quiet? = time to move to the burbs.
Move up north. Plano Richardson Frisco are great. I’ve heard good things about cypress waters too , quiet area
Easton Apartments in knox Henderson right off Henderson ave. Lived here for 5 years. 32 yr old female. Not super sexy but, great location and right next to a girls private school so sex offenders can’t live within so many miles of a school so safe neighborhood! Also rent isn’t crazy, last I heard they were coming in at $1600 for a 1 bedroom.
That’s really tough to find. The village used to have apartments at that price point. Not sure if it’s still true.
Premium location > space, imho
My suggestion for safety, quiet, and comfort: Find a nicer place in North Dallas and go with the smallest unit available. I made the same decision on decreasing rent to save and I chose a 530 sq ft studio in The Village.
I’ve never lived with so little square footage but it has become my least expensive and most favorite apartment I’ve ever had.
I was able to downsize on rent, feel safe, and keep all of the apartment community amenities which is tough to do when you want to remain close to the city center.
Las Colinas!
I like Lewisville a lot and rents are much more reasonable - specifically the area near Vista Ridge Mall/closer to Coppell. Farmers Branch (from what I recall when I was apartment hunting last year) has some decent places with reasonable rates as well.

I literally found this in 2 min
Normal human sized apartments can be 600 square feet. I lived in a 2 bedroom house that was 1000 square feet so almost the same if you take away a bedroom. More than enough room for one person.
This might be a reason rents are skyrocketing - people think they need so much space.
