Did anyone here move to tech from consulting?
Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

I returned to school after my two children graduated high school to get my Masters in Leadership. I have enjoyed the admin role to be able to better serve those who work with the students. The salary was not an incentive. My spouse and I both have been in education about the same number of years. Due to his extra duties, he makes almost what I earn but spends a significant number of hours per week less than I do at work. Go I. To admin for the right reason
Do you have a master's degree? That would be your next step. Then getting the certifications in your state
In Texas it requires a M.Ed. that would be my only thought. Are you at a point in your life that you want to go back to school?
NY also requires additional education. You have to have a master's (in something related to education) as well as at least a certificate in Educational Leadership. You also have to have taught for at least 3 years.
Yes I think it would be more rewarding just based on the salary alone. The principal makes double the salary of the average teacher at my school.
And has triple the responsibility’s.
First, don't assume that everyone who teaches is a lady.
Even as a woman, I am not a lady.
Get a master's degree in educational leadership or school administration. After that, head straight to completing principal preparation program and getting your principal's license. Then you're ready for applications.
