All have limited transactions and fairly dedicated banks.

I was subscribing to QBO but it’s too much for what we need. My spouse makes the purchases so I need an easy system for bookkeeping and collecting receipts before he loses them.

Was considering excel/smartsheet and Dropbox for receipts. Anyone have any creative simple solutions?

Any good ideas to keep your day job and start a business that allows for enough freedom to take taxable income from 350k to 0?

I am trying to justify house buying in HCOL city. The house cost is minimum 1.4m .monthly mortgage would be at least 7k(with just around 2k principal) rest goes to either int,tax. Not to mention regular house maintenance. How is it better than 3.5k rental. I understand appreciation and own house independence. But I am just trying to make numbers work.

I am not from the US and taxes overwhelm me; the first few years I did them with TurboTax and it was fine but then I entered a domestic partnership and had a baby. I also bought a house (that I don’t live in), so I went to H&R Block to give it a try assuming they could advise me on optimizing my return, it seemed that they are completely transactional as the person is just typing numbers in a form.
