Hi! Question for independent contract recruiters! I am taking on clients as a solo recruiter on my own after layoffs impacted my dept. What sourcing tools do you use? LinkedIn Recruiter is the best when it comes to giving you sourcing abilities and enough outreach inmails, but unless you’re on an enterprise contract you don’t have access to that level of sub. What are other independent contract recruiters out there using instead to recruit and source for their clients? TIA!

I’ve recently left my job (unhappy with it) and am applying for new work. I have a few irons in the fire at the moment. I’m curious about a trend I am seeing: I like to think I’ve well documented my abilities and functions in my CV, as well as my portfolio. I’ve noticed that for some of these jobs that I can check every single box in the job description, I won’t even get an interview. I’m wondering if many of these jobs are posted for internal hires, but some stay open for weeks. What gives?

A question for recruiters with knowledge of Applicant Track Systems (ATS). Do products like Greenhouse show if an applicant has applied at other companies? I imagine not, as it would be a massive privacy violation if that was the case.

I'm not super happy in tech-specific recruiting and find it a lot more laborious than other verticals. We really struggle to find qualified candidates who are also willing to accept starting salaries and more equity. Sometimes I want to move away from this. Has anyone else felt this way?
