I cleared interview at cognizant yesterday on 8th Nov 2025, my current exp is 3.75 years and current CTC is 12.5 Ipa as GCP data engineer. While in cognizant i cleared interview for Azure DataBricks and PySpark data engineer role with offer 18.5 LPA.

Do you think it's lower or correct as per markets?

I have experience as GCP, Azure, DataBricks data engineer.

Please help whether to accept or search for better compensation?

One of my friends, he made a switch just 6 months back hoping he would get a better work environment a better package, but now he is just frustrated with the working environment, being a backend developer he has been asked to just fix bugs for almost 5 months now and that too in javascript without any KTs or any other trainings when he clearly did mention in the interview that he does not have prior knowledge on javascript.

According to the new Wage Rules, are companies giving Basic Salary as 50% of fixed Pay? Should we ask HR of our current company or the next company to actually do the same? Or the rule isn't a mandate and it's upon companies to follow it ?

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada).
