Hi there, I have been working for 2.5 years in healthcare and tech consulting. I did my undergrad in finance and int business from a non target school in Canada. I want to get into IB/PE, and I know I’m behind in a lot of ways. What would your recommendations be? Is there a place I should try moving to for more opportunities?

Is there such place as non toxic ID firm? Or does any of ID attys like what they do? I moved from general practice to an ID firm six months ago. Biggest mistake of my life. I am trying hard not to just quit and walk away as I’m battling head cold but still have to bill bill bill and get criticized for not billing right and etc and cases being piled up - while everyone is looking forward to the long weekend. I seriously question my judgement. Need word of wisdom just to get through this hellhole

Fifth year labor and employment associate at Big4 L&E firm (think Littler) and am considering making a move into big law (think Jones Day, Goodwin, etc.) Any thoughts on if it’s worth it this late in my associate career? Also, do those big firms take 6-8 year L&E laterals?

I started QA at the company I am currently at 3 years ago. Long story short, within 4 months at the company, I was able to make a career change and step into a PM position. Without having the formal education or PM experience, only my 5 years in QA experience. When I started I made $65k and have jumped to $78k. I have seen other companies post $100k+. Annual review is tomorrow. Should I fight for more or look for more somewhere else if I lose that fight?
