Pay. I’ll take a job title of senior consultant if I was getting more pay than right now. Go where the $$$ is and worry less about the optics
Bonuses can fluctuate based on the market and aren’t guaranteed. Take the higher salary
Pay. They could call me a janitor here as long as I keep getting six figure bonuses
Sorry but everyone is wrong. Take the higher signing and title. Your bonus will be better even if average rating. Our comp will rise this year as well. Bigger raises at M. You’re talking 13k salary. Plenty of other ways the package matches that for year 1.
Unless you can secure an M title at D in your first year. Doubtful.
At year 3 at P you’d be their SM cohort already, but remember they have an SM role between their M and Director (where Director is more equivalent to SM at D)
MBA? Technical role?
Technical role. No mba
D for technical role. Having worked at both, Deloitte technical competency is far above PwC. Comp will be mostly the same, growth at both will be around the same. Although PwC culture was probably better.
Once you get promoted to M1 after a year or so at D wouldn’t that bump TC way more than M1-M2 at Pwc? Seems like a no brainer
Wasn't sure how long the promo might take, and if the bump would be big since it seems on the high end for a SC
How’s your network and expected progression at PwC? You’re at the beginning of the bigger pay pumps at P, if you have good momentum, I’d stick it out.
I’m not sure at D. I’m ex-PwC, where at P I think base case is M1 to D1 in 4 years but a 3-3.5 years to D1 is possible there too for good performers
Pay
I personally don’t think I could swallow a demotion from manager to senior consultant. Especially just just a 17% bump. There are better opportunities out there.
Ahh okay fair. I’d say Deloitte if you’re in it for the long term.
Didn’t read the details but pay it is.
The title and sign on if you haven’t selected yet. Formal ppl management will be important for long term growth if you want to stop doing IC work
