I’d say ow - I’m biased but go the the better brand unless you are tech focussed then Accenture is the better brabd
Hit Consultant then lateral to OW? Better negotiating position if you want to make a move.
So you’d effectively be dropping 2 levels to go to OW? If you don’t care about money and title and ow fits your interests, sure ow.
Dropping one level. Consultant at Accenture is 1.5 years out for me. So in the next 1.5 years at OW could I catch up/would the experience and name make it a good long term play.
Essentially, I’m foregoing 1.5 years at Accenture
That’s what I’m leaving towards OW1. I’ve heard overall progression is good at OW. Do you think I’ll be able to level up and even out fairly quick with my prior consulting experience?
Assuming you can make C this December
Will not make C this December. Will make it December 2019 unless there are mid years in June 2019 for SA to C
Wait, didn’t you make SA this past December? So you would be eligible for C this coming December
Making SA this coming June. Joined off promo cycle so I essentially get screwed over because I was 11.5 MAL in December
I’ve seen people make SA mid year and then C 6 months later in December. Do good work and make the case for promo to C this December
Def an option and appreciate the tips! But the question is do I leave for OW prior to that or no...have a referral opp too
Right right. Well my rec would be to try to make C this year for better negotiating power with OW, but if you are unsure you can achieve that, it sounds like it would be better to move to OW sooner rather than later so you have the time to get acclimated.
^ yeah I think with state of the business and how it’s looking I don’t think I’ll make C this December. I’m 100% qualified but don’t think my CC will fight for that
Thanks @A1
OW consulting style takes a while to adjust to - you’re better off switching sooner rather than later. You’d essentially start at entry level in either case, even if you’re technically an SC.
Got it, will aim to push for the upcoming cycle then @OW2. Thanks.
Any tips for the app/interview process?
Seems like the decision is there for you, just need a little confirmation here! I think take the drop back, unless you’re in Acn Strategy or FS, comparing Acn Mc to OW is Apple to oranges
I’m technically aligned to MC but majority of my work is on/with ACN strategy teams...that’s why I’m a *little* hesitant
OW, curious: is the Philadelphia office only actuary or is there consulting as well?
