Ok... But you have reimbursements for those expenses sitting in your checking account right? Bills aren't due until 3-7 weeks after the purchases.
I'm in the same boat and I've heard you can get them reversed. I will let you know how my luck goes.
PL1, this may be box Allen, where expenses are a personal liability until they are reimbursed and project leaders insist that their staff but airfare 3 weeks prior to reduce airfare. Then, project leaders forget to approve expenses until the monthly reconciliation.
Effect: 7 week cash cycle, 4 week credit cycle.
You generally have until 15 days after the next statement closing date to pay to avoid a late fee. So you actually have 45-75 days between spending and needing to pay.
Deloitte pays our cards directly, not to our checking account which then we have to pay AMEX with. Love this system so much better
It's pretty unbelievable that a firm would ask team members to fund the project cash flow like this. What a shitty way to do business. Also, my corporate rate flights have always been the same price a month out or an hour out. Are yours really cheaper to book in advance?
