I just don’t agree that BCG only has one guy that does what you do. You are a big firm. Also, Australia isn’t that big an economy compared to the major European countries so it’s odd they’d have to look that far for your skill.

Glad to hear you don’t do flybacks. Big fan of Norway so I hope you are enjoying it.

Maybe you are. Although I’d be amazed if BCG ever sold itself as the cheap option.

Since lot of candidates are in the pool, sadly it would take me nearly 12 to 18 months to get my Canadian PR. Can some one give me leads of job opening which is available back there in Canada to start my career.

I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. How realistic is it to go from no computer science degree, to getting Salesforce certs and an admin role?

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.
Am I crazy for thinking him a bad manager?
