Does anyone at Rutgers know where I can find a flexible part-time job for students on campus? I only found two campus positions on handshake and haven’t heard back from either yet. I feel like there has to be a lot more out there than what I’ve seen on handshake
Something similar to the digital classroom support specialist or tech help desk would be great. I consider myself tech savvy

I can’t see it. Great funding and would love to see Fugitive but I don’t see people paying $5 a month for a handful of shows most of them shot on a phone.
I think there could be some interesting sponsorship plays, but I also agree this format is a bit far-fetched (and borderline, outdated).
Personally speaking, I don’t see how Quibi would be much of a differentiator from channels such as IGTV or SnapOriginals (albeit, Quibi sounds like it will have more high-profile talent). The subscription piece is what really boggles my mind, especially in the current TV landscape.
We have linear, CTV/OTT, and other VOD services. Consumers are fragmented as is juggling between the plethora of options at our disposal. Streaming giants like Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and Amazon Prime are also turning out great content.
Timing-wise, Quibi missed the gambit. I would be more receptive to it if there weren’t 101 options to consume video content. They would really have to churn out quality media that supersedes what we’re currently seeing. Too little, too late?
agreed the $5 / monthly fee when Disney is $7 (annual promo) seems crazy.
It seems like a concept that would take off in China given how phone-centric their culture already is. Here, I feel like most US-based consumers are gravitating towards CTV because it still offers the living room experience that's engrained in our culture.
It's good talent and should be high quality content, but personally speaking I don't watch much video on my phone and the perspective swap novelty seems like it'll wear off/grow old quick.
Their content and tech is really intriguing and I think it could be a hit with younger people. I’m definitely going to be checking it out.
Good for younger people who were early adopters of tik Tok. Not us lame-os who joined tik Tok because of the Rona.
