Dear Fishes, I am in a conundrum currently. I have two offers. One from Deloitte USI (17.5 LPA fixed, 1.75 LPA variable and 1.5 L joining bonus). The other is from Infosys (25 LPA CTC. Permanent WFH. Negotiation is still on for this.)
Could you please be so kind as to help me decide which one to choose?
Thanks in advance,
Fellow Perplexed Fish.

If possible in your situation, it’s easier to take an in-person job for at least a year and then move away and transition to remote. You’ve proven your worth at that point and an employer who might not otherwise consider remote will be more open to the idea.
Look into tech and media. Outside of big agencies.
remote is pretty common, I think you just need to know where to look!
there are specific sites just for finding remote work (Flexjobs is one that comes to mind) plus I’ve had luck with facebook groups.
Yeah I havent seen someone get a new job from somewhere else—only keep the job they have when they move. Its more about them not wanting you to go. If they hire you, they pay for you to move to where they are.
I did this. I had to build relationships while on the ground, then drop the seed that I’ll be going remote. It’s harder to book new clients while remote (I assume even harder for creatives as you’re there’s much more back and forth than with strategists) but if they get comfortable with you/ you get with their approach, moving to partially remote would be more palpable. Though I’ve had open- minded clients who I was referred to THROUGH my remote clients - but at this point it feels like this is more for teams that are also working this way. I found it’s more popular in tech. Also, I had a ton of savings and could deal with periods of not working - your “conversion rate” will be much much lower of clients who actually book you.
That being said I was turning to land traditional strategy jobs. If you’re in something digital it’ll be much easier and there are a lot of FB groups
