Pro
Give clear and concise feedback. Be empathetic. Praise them when they do a good job.
Remember when you were a junior - treat them as you would’ve wanted to be treated then.
Despite how busy you might be, be sure to make regular time for them. This time is critical for making them feel seen/heard and for building a rapport. For some of my juniors, I have weekly check-ins and others we only meet once a month to catch up depending on the person, time zone, etc.
And remember to adapt your managerial style to what works best for each person especially when giving feedback. Some of my designers prefer feedback in an email or marked up PDF, while others would prefer a quick call to talk it through together.
Best of luck!

If you’re remote currently, setting up those weekly check-ins are a must!
