How common is it for prospective new employers (e.g. FTSE100, banks, financial services) to pay for contract buy-out fees that a new employee owes their previous employer (PwC, Big 4)?

E.g. approx. £4,000 amount owed to firm for professional exams the firm supported

My HR SPOC at Big 4 ( based out of Singapore) told me salary approval for me is done and he is taking headcount approval. Is there any chance head count approval can get rejected? And how much time from here till the final offer letter? Thanks!!

I’m in my 2nd year in audit. I want to pivot into management consulting within a big 4 or MBB. Has anyone seen someone make this lateral movement? I’m not sure how feasible that is and what steps to take. I’m also down to discuss further with whoever is comfortable in connecting.

I have been in my current job for 1 year now as a booking coordinator for a logistics company.
