How did your salary increase over time? I changed from low tier Tec consulting into T2 Strategy consulting and therefore doubled my salary in the last 3 years but don’t know what to expect from my future career. How much salary growth can you expect in your career? I don’t know if this kind of growth will ever happen again or if it was just pure luck. (Sorry if this sounds like one of those show off posts, I’d just like to have some reference data.)

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

My remit quadrupled+ in a recent re-org with no increase in pay/promotion, my new director is new to the company and was zero help, and I was passed over for recent promotion during the comp cycle. The new director essentially began shutting me down any time I ask for clarity in my career progression. Now they have taken credit for the project I’ve been building over the past year+ without giving me props whatsoever to higher ups. What is the best plan of action here?
