How do i improve critical thinking? I feel my education background is not that strong as my peers. I want to improve but i don’t know how. I am qualified with 5 years experience.

I would start by changing the mindset about your education background. That doesn’t determine your critical thinking skills. You’re more intelligent and capable than you think of .Another step would be to approach issues with the questions “what if” and “what is causing the issue”.

Can you give me some examples?
I have started feeling my brain is shut.

The fact you’re asking this question illustrates why you’re unable to critically think. It’s not something you learn, despite what anyone may tell ya. The ability to critically think and use reason and deduction to solve problems is a component of intelligence. Sure you can learn techniques to problem solve but the underlying ability to exercise critical thought is not something you just learn.

I think look for a mentor or someone in your work environment who you look upto and who you aspire to be like. Learn what their tips are or get exposed to practical examples in the work space then ask them what their thought process was to get to a specific conclusion. If you get this exposure to many different individuals you will learn the approach they take to tackle situations that require critical thinking. I'd say don't sell yourself short..this is a skill you can pick up easily - you just need the right people to guide you! Don't question or compare your educational background. It's no measure of your critical thinking...I believe it's a skill you can gain with experience/exposure so look forward not back

Thank you
Yes it would be really grateful to find a mentor

Do you have adhd or asd?

I was sort of joking but beyond general critical thinking skills being able to critically think and evaluate a situation may require having the necessary prerequisite knowledge. You can spend some time reading and thinking about whatever subject matter you’re trying to improve your critical thinking skills on.

I feel i was good at studies. Always above average. I understood quite well the concepts but it always took me a bit extra time to understand. I guess at work we don’t get the luxury to spend extra time because that affect efficiencies.
But somehow in between i have kind of lost myself and I don’t think enough like how my peers do.

Do I tell her my timeline is now a month, or is telling them I'm getting fired going to tank my chances of getting the job?
