How do y'all approach getting freelance gigs?

Looking to pivot from Sales at Bloomberg to Management Consulting/Change Management Consulting in the NYC area. 4 years working experience. Certainly open to Big 4 firms, but also to boutique consulting firms.

How often do people actually go into the office? I’m about to get an offer as a CE and I live about 90 minutes from the office. Google will give me relocation but if I just need to go in 1-2 a week, I’d be open to stomaching the commute. Any info would be helpful!

I have completed 8 months in the current org and my Notice Period is 90 Days.
If I resign and serve notice , my tenure at current workplace will be 11 months.
Should I work for one more month and resign ?
Or should I resign right away and serve 2 months notice period and buy out one months notice ?

Wife is 35 weeks pregnant and recently tested positive for Covid. Symptoms are mild to moderate. Doctor’s say no impact to baby if symptoms continue to remain under control. I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?
