You remember it's just advertising and trust your gut. You're in a block because you're scared of what other people will think. Once you start writing for yourself and not for other people, the work will always turn out better and you'll never overthink your writing ever again.
A big thing I learned is "Get it out, then get it right".
Basically it means embrace the shitty first draft. Just write the idea/script down as quickly as it comes to you, and fix it later.
When a deadline is looming you may want to write it perfectly (or close to perfectly) the first time, but that will just freeze you up. Just start writing, even if it's absolute garbage.
Turn off my phone and hide it, close my browser tabs. Set a goal of an hour (or even 30 min) of powering through with no distractions. Usually once I get going, I can keep going. And what everyone else said☝️
I work better with deadlines :)
Similar to @FCB1's advice, it's like my baseball coach said: "Make the basic play. The highlight reel will take care of itself."
Of course, that was based on tons of practice. So, volume. Write a ton for every project, and then cross out your worst 90%. It'll boost your confidence, too.
Just write. Ass in chair. Write.

Appreciate the advice, SC1.
Spot on, FCB. Also, you can make yourself a character in the ad.
This is dissociation.
My theory is just to write anything no matter how bad or nonsense the first lines are. It's easier to edit something bad than to stare to a blank page, worst case scenario at least with those bad first words you know which direction you definitely don't want and you'll have a road to brainstorm.
