Clearly it’s the firm.
I mean, even if the firm isn't necessarily lying, do you actually want to take that bet, with the possibility of getting pushed to 2,300+ hours?
It’s definitely 2300 or close to that
I was at a firm that officially said 2050 (or close to it) on NALP forms and interviews. But average associate hours were about 2400. Any Associate would have told you that, unless they were part of the interview process. And that you needed to beat the average to make partner (or get a book of business).
Like you didn’t go to school
Why would every associate lie? Being flexible isn’t exactly a lie either, but yes, that will be the number to aim for.
I’m sure every associate you talked to is lying.

Firm 😂, working that hard can be a great learning experience but it’s not for everyone at certain points in their life.
