Rising Star
I keep a stenographer pad and maintain a checklist on it. I find physically writing out and checking off tasks helps a lot. I also have an Excel sheet, for tracking multi-step tasks within projects.
I use multiple things to manage my life:
- zero inbox in work outlook, so “unprocessed” emails serve as a to-do (these are emails where I need to take action)
- Evernote for tracking list of things with priority / timelines/ open Qs etc. to ask clients/ teams/ etc
- stickies for goal of tasks for completion today
- iPad notes for client /internal meetings and transfer any action items to Evernote/ stickies
- flags in emails for items where I need to chase people (so action is on someone else)
- app called Toodledo for personal to-do list
- unread emails in personal email also serve as a reminder for things to-do
I use multiple channels as I figured there are multiple sources of to-do items, and it’s not worth it to spend time consolidating those to 1 place.
A lot of people use several different things. I guess this is one where you use whatever works for you

I use “OneNote”. Instead of bullets, checkboxes
OneNote yearly To Do folder with weekly To Do lists with checkboxes and random notes. Have tried lots of thing, and this works best for me. Low- touch enough that i actually use it + can get to it from anywhere.
