How do you navigate a terrible leader? There's absolutely no empathy or human side to this person. They say one thing then change to another in less than a day. It's making enjoying my career almost impossible.

How do you best support your students who do not speak English? I have four ELL’s in my 6th grade ELA class and they don’t receive push-in or pull-out Bilingual support during my class. Do you pull them for small group to provide instruction separately or do you just try to use google translate to translate your lessons and the work? Any best practices? I’d love some help.

I'm currently making a career pivot and have gained a significant amount of experience during my MBA but still a bit in that pivot stage.. How much should an entry level underwriting manager make? 10 YOE U/w. Personal lines

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

I’ve been working for my State Farm agency as a team member for 2 years. I am licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health, but only make $13 an hour. I technically can make bonuses but I’m not supposed to dig into a sale and I have to send it to a sales rep (I am service and retention mostly). My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

What’s the deal with these start-ups not hiring people with actual insurance experience?

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. Just made a career pivot and accepted a job with Progressive in sales. I’ve heard more good things than bad about the company. I turned down Liberty and Allstate so I’m hoping I made the right choice. Curious if anyone works there can offer their opinion about what it’s like working for Progressive.

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.

The manager said I had to leave the job in 2 days and the company can only play 2 weeks of work. Is it normal how they do that?
