One step at a time. Trust the process.
Do you exercise and/or meditate? Both things are completely essential for my ability to manage stress. I work out 4 times a week and do 10 mins meditation everyday.
I work out some, but it's hit or miss. And I've heard great things about meditation but I'm not really sure how or where to start. Any tips?
Remember, it's your work, not your life. Whenever I am overwhelmed or stressed at work usually it's an overlap from stresses of life. Take your work breaks to center yourself. Movement during those breaks is something I find that helps. My mind processes work problems even when I'm not actively thinking of a solution to an issue. The key is to take a step away for a bit, then reapproach. Minimize distractions as well.
Walk away from your workstation go for a walk or sit somewhere else, like a spare office, or your car. Sit quietly for a bit or read, or listen to something that you enjoy. Laughing helps me change my mood, listen to your favorite comedian or something you find funny.
You have to find something that snaps you out of the mindset. Endorphins help. Maybe work out at lunch?
I remind myself that when I die, my gravestone won’t have my job title on it.
Hi! I suggest to practice positive self-talk. When you're feeling stressed, it's easy to start thinking negative thoughts. But it's important to challenge these thoughts and focus on the positive. Remind yourself of your strengths and accomplishments. And remember that you're not alone in this.
