This is dependent on the person, work culture, and what they are doing.
For example, if its in consulting, you're expected to contribute back like helping a practice, event management, hiring screener, etc. Compared that a large insurance company, anyone who is doing more than their role description is frown upon, know your and stay in your lane.
If that person has a bug in their code, they shouldn't be working on something else like prototyping a standard integration patterns Engineers love building new shiny objects, they tend to forget that the bill needs to get paid and revenues are generated by existing systems, not whatever crap is the latest and greatest.
It depends on how it’s presented. If the roles show complementary skills and clear results, it can highlight capability and time management. If it seems scattered without impact, it might raise concerns about focus.
