I gave 4 rounds of interview for Manager 1 but the final decision was that I am unable to raise the bar. The recruitment coordinator asked me if he can keep my details or share my details to his colleagues so that they can check if I fit in some other role in future. Any idea about the cool off period?Amazon
Hello All, I have been selected in the interview at NTT DATA and also submitted documents as requested by Recruiting HR. However , it's been a 10 days after docs submission but haven't received any call from HR for salary negotiation. On email follow up with HR, he said he is on it and will come back to me soon for further process. Any views.NTT DATA

I don't really try to spin it, there's not much you can say or do. Just acknowledge that you were laid off, answer any questions they might have and then move on to another topic.
Same, I’ve found being upfront about a layoff is the best approach. I just acknowledge it, explain the situation briefly, and focus on how I’ve stayed proactive during the gap, whether through freelance work or skill-building. Honesty can feel more genuine to me.
Being laid off doesn't carry a stigma in today's world, it seems like it'll happen to anyone sooner or later. But if the time out of work is excessive it's probably best to include a section of the resume for freelance work you did during that stretch (or whatever you did). I did that years ago, I was paying bills by doing some freelance jobs here and there, and I mentioned that just to clarify that I wasn't on the couch watching Netflix for those months.
If it was actually a layoff, due to consolidation or an economic downturn in the company's fortunes, then there's no need to fear. If you use the term "layoff" as a euphemism for "fired," be sure your sins will find you out. Other companies are well aware of their rivals' economic fortunes and will know if your previous employer had to make layoffs.
