At some point in the process they will be made aware. It’s best to get ahead of it, or if you’re really taking the shot, don’t miss.
Not your direct manager. But, HR probably will talk to each other. Especially in holding companies that use the same HR services across agencies.
When I did it, I had to make it clear that I approached them, too. So, they wouldn’t be reprimanded for poaching. And, so the offer could actually go through.
If they don’t find out, it’ll be an Anomaly.
