Please evaluate this initial offer for Apple ICT3. I think I was low balled, but I want to take more opinions. Currently Sr. MTS at VMware, received Apple ICT3. I was expecting to get to ICT4 but seems like team thinks upper end of ICT3 is more apt. Also, I think it is because I don’t have any counter offers yet.

Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

No, most IB folk in Booth (and presumably Kellogg) are in New York. idk about in-person coffee chats, but they go to NYC for some event before the actual interviews iirc. Coffee chats more flexible now than pre-Covid.

G1 is right
Booth protects its students and makes banks come to Chicago for most events. When my roommate was recruiting for IB, I think he only flew into NYC once and it was more of an optional trip. And most Boothies get jobs in NYC for IB unless they specifically wanted to and recruiter to stay in Chicago or go to a different market (I know a few in SF, LA, and Texas).
Idk about Kellogg but might be similar?
