I think you can do it, but your pay bump will be hampered since they'll be able to see exactly what you were making at the other agency

If I was at an omnicom agency, id be looking to hop out of that company. OAG is going to decimate a lot their holdings.
Rising Star
Yeah. Id be looking for a non omnicom shop. Hornely id be looking for a non holding co or small holding co (stagwell or similar) shop.
As mentioned, holding CO’s cap the salary increase. So try to make it happen before the merger.
My experience with hopping within ipg health is that it’s a transfer, no pay bumps no title promos. I’m assuming that will remain with omnicom
Why would you jump to an IPG company when it’s about to be acquired?
It’s like a 50k pay bump and I’d really like to lock that in pre-merger. Feels like a bird in the hand but actively looking for advice here. I know ipg is the acquiree but they spank omnicom in the health space so hopefully Omni will be looking to learn something there vs firing all of ipg, or is that deluded of me to think?
Easy on the media side and we def prioritize internal so there’s less training to do
It’s doable. There’s a website that outlines the steps. During COVID, when a lot of people were leaving (the Great Resignation), they were pushing internal moves rather than having people leave the holding company.
