Moving a state is accomplishable without already being licensed in the state. Your story is clear and understandable, your family is interested in relocating to Denver and your current firm doesn’t have an office there. Tricky situation. Depending on the timeline, you could start the application process and highlight that you’ll be pursuing the licensure. Or just target roles where it matters less, until, of course, you are moved and settled.
Having lived in multiple states it’s really not that hard. If it’s a need at the law firm for your skills, they often will hire you in required to be barred within a year. If the states bar allow supervision.
Your skills are transferable, I think you can apply jobs while working on getting admitted to the bar. And some states even allow admission through motion, not sure if Coronado is one of those
