Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

Yeah, KGS is the least paying of the Big 4 though they will undergo benchmarking this year as they say.
To answer your former question - again it depends on what team you join in. We have the best work quality among all firms in the same industry- I can say this for the team I am in.
So my counter question to you would be which team are you joining in? Also, you will get good hike once you switch and if you are really looking for a job change and are somewhat not contented in your current role/ organization, I would take the offer anyway.
I think it’s worth joining. I, myself joined 2 months back and discussed the opportunity with so many people on LinkedIn and other platforms. I also had offers from Deloitte USI and KGS. KGS was paying Joining bonus double the amount what Deloitte was offering ( same CTC) and I knew the work quality is better at KGS so opted KGS.
Talk to more people of the same team over LinkedIn and you will get a more clearer picture of how things are.
Then it is fine... It's almost in the range of Deloitte USI compensation... No real problems then if you talk to your OP members in LinkedIn and if they give a positive review ... 40% more than Deloitte USI in my view is worth to choose KGS
Hi,
At KGS can you help me understand the average yearly hike ? Is it as poor as Accenture,TCS etc or in the mid range between Deloitte and Accenture?
I just joined so can’t really comment on that. But I can assure you that it is certainly not as poor as TCS. It should be a lil less than other big 4s. Maybe 10-15% hike for the average performers and 10-25% range for bonus. This I got to know from people I chatted with on LinkedIn.
