How am I expected to bill 1900 hours when I only have 8 cases and when I ask for work no one responds. I even asked the partner in person for work and he said he was slow and didn’t have anything for me.This month I’ve only billed 80 hrs. Looking for advice! I was approved to work remotely but my salary will decrease 10%. I received two raises so the decrease brings me down to my previous salary. I was told that it’s due to the cost of labor in the area.

Favorite part of being a vet?

Having an animal friend with cancer is not something easy. This year I have already had 24 animals that went to sleep in order to stop suffering. This is not easy for their families at all. It seems to me that the cancer stats in domestic animals are increasing, is this just me?

My favorite coworker is Max, he's a grizzled tomcat we tended to (and neutered, of course) after he was hit by a car, and he's lived at our vet clinic for almost 3 years. He makes everyone’s day and people stop in just to see him

I’ve been looking into continuing my education. I’m a certified veterinary assistant (worst mistake ever), and I’m thinking about starting my prevet courses, and becoming a CVT on the way so I have a guaranteed job. Anyone know if this is possible?

I get that money is tight. But if you deny all diagnostic tests, please don’t get mad at me when we can’t figure out what’s wrong. Those tests are there for a reason.

My work-life balance in vet school is non-existent and I’m exhausted. Is this what being a veterinarian will be like too, or does it get easier?
