Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

I've 5 years of experience into Java Spring boot. I got an offer from Paytm of 32 LPA and 450 units of ESOPs I also have an offer from JPMorgan Chase of 24 Lakhs of fixed pay and 15% ( 3 Lakhs approx. ) of bonus. Another offer from Zee entertainment enterprise ltd Zeel of 30 LPA. Please help me choose either of these. I'm a little sceptical about Paytm as it is still burning cash. But optimistic as it uses the latest tech. #paytm #jpmc #jpmorgan #chase #choice

Never ever join paytm if you're seeking wlb. It has the worst wlb. I have seen people quitting without any jobs in hand due to the toxic work culture. And you can expect to be left on your own even during your initial days in the organization. You will be given independent tasks without much KT sessions and help from other team members. And you will be consistently chased by PMs for updates on those tasks and you can expect other team members giving you a cold treatment. And the worst thing that you get to see in paytm is that you will have no life at all. If you don't reply to a message for 10 mins then the other person will directly call you on your cellphone. There are no boundaries between personal and professional timings.
I feel I have explained enough. I heard similar feedback from multiple people and still went on to join paytm. Ended up regretting my decision big time. I wish this comment reaches people in time so that they don't end up making the same mistake i made.
It is very bad. My close friend and room partner is Java backend developer there. In his team they have also fired 2-3 employees few months back due to this recession and loss at Paytm. My friend also need to do On-call support in every month for 7 days(24*7 he receives multiple calls like 3 am 4 am in the morning for these days ). believe me in my past experience, we have never seen this much tourture to anyone. They asked too much from every employee. This experience is for developers profile.
He told me that Testers and other profiles also has work pressure but they don't do On-call.
Thanks for the inputs.
