A week is my rule of thumb. Send the followup email. There's nothing wrong with asking for clarification. Hope you get good news.

I usually do a follow up a week after and make sure to mention something good I recall from the interview/about the company

I always give it a week and if I haven't heard back, I reach out to touch base. If you still don't hear anything, I wait another week and then try to follow up again. If you don't hear back after that, I would move on.
