Yep anything related to health for me. Was actually out of commission for 2 days this year and used it. Physicals, dentist etc. all go to sick time. For those with dependents there is actually a sick - dependent code treated the same way

18 days PTO for Staff
25 days PTO senior+
10 days sick regardless of level
They used to break out the 3 personal days separately from vacation, but now (starting 2020) they’re combined.
Ey is 15-22 with ten days sick and 3 “personal” days. Which are essentially just more pto
Does taking sick days impact utilization?
PwC: 10-22 vacation depending on level or years of service. I can’t remember. Sick is unlimited. Holiday is at least 10 plus 1 or 2 floating and whatever additional shut down they decide.
Yep it’s 15 year 1, 22 beyond that, 10 holidays which includes the floating, unlimited sick days, flex weeks (don’t need to charge your pto if you hit 40 hours in a week) and the occasional early shut down. Definitely no complaints from me

Question for EY and Pwc folk - do you actually use sick days and are they scrutinized? I can count on one hand the number of days I've been sick and not been able to work over my career.
Do people use these for routine medical/dental appointments or when they wake up and decide they just don't feel like working today?
There is only scrutiny to my knowledge when someone uses more than 5 consecutive sick days. At that point, a person should be taking short term leave.
