Most people I know (including myself) have taken paycuts. Only ones who didn’t were those who went to large/unicorn tech/CPG (ie Hulu, Nike, FAANG).
I took a slight pay cut. Can’t always be about the money. At some point, yiu reach a level that is good enough

I know people who left at about the $150k salary range and got pay raises. I think as you approach $200k it becomes more and more likely it'll be a pay cut, unless you're really gunning for the higher levels like Sr. Director and above. Or if you heading to a well paid industry or company.
Might be hard to get used to the pay cut at first, but at the end of the day, overall you're better off so it's okay. Not much different than switching to a job with worst health benefits or fewer company holidays.
