Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

I tired to take all of mine before the new policy which amounted to about 20-22 days. Now, I barely take 14. This new policy definitely is taking advantage of some folks.
Oooh people complained for sure. At the end of the day I'm pretty sure the laws are written specifically so that accrued pto only has to be paid on separation from the firm rather than termination of the plan so don't think the firm did anything wrong legally. They also made the transition mid-covid so I think we were all just lucky to still have a job
Roughly 28 days if you’re a staff or senior and client serving. Expectation is 1850 billable hours to client. So 2080 hours (typically year) less 1850 = 230 hours / 8 hours in a work day = ~28 days.
Seems to be the most reasonable way to calculate the ceiling, which is how I did it while still with the firm. Take some days for summer and winter breaks (days that aren’t holidays), and plenty of extra time to burn for a week-long trip or two, plus a bunch of long weekends. Solid amount of PTO IMO. And I didn’t once get kickback for taking it. But I also lined them up as to minimize impact to delivery stuff (usually easy to do with enough notice)
US is unlimited PTO or “flexible PTO” as EY puts it
I take 45 days a year off
Hi, I’m joining EY soon as a SC. Are most teams chill about these many days off?
Unlimited, people usually take around 15-25
“Flexible” not unlimited. Yes, there is a difference.
All of them
I took less than 2 weeks last year (not including holidays) so I'm aiming for 6 weeks of pto this calendar year for #balance
Unlimited

It says 17 for me on Better You website (which is paid). Flexible PTO is just a term with little modifications and they want to glorify/sell it - it was always the case that you can take dedicated number of holidays and remaining will probably be unpaid if you take it
Pro
I stand corrected, Thank you!
Ok let me ask it this way…how many days a year of PTO do most EY employees take?
You can't work at all when out of the country, except for business trips
The limit does not exist
Vacation time is unlimited, sick days are 10 and you can use them to take care of a family member or pet.
EY also closes the first week of July and the last week of December between Christmas and New Years
2,080 hours annually
30 days (Nordic’s)
I’m planning to take 6 weeks off this year. Prior to flexible time off/unlimited PTO, I used to be able to take 5 weeks off, so surely taking 1 additional week shouldn’t cause any concerns since we have flexible/unlimited
If you have (or adopt) a kid it’s 16 weeks paid regardless if you’re male or female or if you’re the primary caregiver or not.
EY gives unlimited PTO. It’s all based on how you talk to your boss. If you have done your work perfectly and got everything covered, you can take any days off. Last year I took around 30 days off.
Unlimited baby
Unlimited as long as you meet your chargeable hours! Lol
I have lost count. Just last year I took 3 weeks off in December/January , this is other than the winter break
