Depends on how you define “income”. Does interest from HYSA count? Do dividends from index funds in a brokerage account count? The IRS counts both of those as income, but I generally don’t (especially because I reinvest the dividends currently, so that money doesn’t hit my spending account). Do you count cashflow from multiple rental properties as multiple streams of income or just 1 because they’re the same type of income?

like

Well it’s not an audit so as you wish. I’d probably count interest and CG as one though.

Currently at 5 but it gets tough to manage while also working (wife and I are consultants).

(1) W2s, (2) side hustle business hoping to make main hustle 🤞, (3) real estate syndications, (4) accredited business investments, and (5) any capital gains on stock portfolio

Only about a year. Wife and I are currently working ~10hrs / wk each but short term goal is have her transition full time in 2026!

I have three streams of income. I have a full-time job which is my main income, and two side hustles that I do. I am trying to diversify my income this year.

like

What are the two side hustles? I do investments and options trading on the side.

FIREd now, (1) interest /dividends from after tax investments and (2) pension.
Will add Social Security (3) and RMD’s from my IRA (4) when required by age or optimized. Will save the Roth (5) for last.

My w-2 and four rentals.

Ditto! Mostly residential but one property is both.

Big shovel - salary
Supplemental - bank interest, brokerage/HSA (reinvest div but sell as needed), stay at home spouse's self employed part time income, credit card/bank bonuses, Treasury interest.
Retirement (future income streams) - 401k, IRA, social security, small pension

So... 1? 10? I'm leaning towards 2 (salary and portfolio income).

2 - dividends and rental income

My wife and I both draw pensions, although I still work. She also has Social Security and an annual annuity payout. I bring in part time income from essentially two occupations. We are debt free and have an IRA (all Roth) available when we need it, but haven’t had to touch it yet.

like

Right now, I would say approximately 5 depending on how you track it.

Wife’s W-2
Side business; private real estate lending
2 rentals
One flip

Tbd if we tackle another flip (or more) next year and my wife will stay home soon with the kids but may help in the other income streams

Sure! Any specific questions that you have?

Essentially we fund short term loans for real estate investors as they value capital quickly and more flexible than standard bank loans which take a month+ often. In exchange we get a premium interest rate. We review and underwrite to make sure we aren’t at risk, and we have a lien on the property if worst comes to worst. We service the debt for ourselves and a service to co lenders that are interested in putting their capital to work as well.

I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Can you shut the person down without starting a spat?

30th birthday present watch accessory ideas.

A lot of knowledge on here so asking for some help. It’s my partner’s birthday and I’ve no idea what to buy him. He’s a watch fanatic - Pateks (sports and dress), Audemars (sports and dress), Rolex (sports), Omega (sports).

I’m obviously not buying him a watch for his birthday (in his dreams!) but any idea for some good accessories? He’s already got a PP watch winder, and has bought multiple nice straps for the dress watches. I’m completely lost.

Can someone help me with this? I had a low utilization since pandemic, I.e., ~sub 5%, but never missed any payments. Would credit score be impacted if only one line of credit with a low utilization?

Too few accounts currently paid as agreed
FICO®

Scores consider the number of accounts that are paid as agreed. Your score was impacted because the number of these accounts is too low, or because you've missed payments recently on some of your accounts.

Feeling grateful & proud as I reached my goal ($50K by 25) 5 months early. But I can’t help feeling a bit overwhelmed. In the lifelong scheme of things, $50K doesn’t seem like much. I worked really hard and sacrificed a lot (including mental health) to get to this but it seems a little tiring knowing I still have so long to go. I recently moved out and in with my BF so my expenses are split, but nonetheless they are still expenses. Any tips on continuing this journey and keeping the drive?

I’m 36 and I recently reached a net worth of 1 million dollars. I thought I was doing good but then I see other people with several millions and can’t help but wonder how they got there.
I feel I’m doing everything I’m supposed to (I save, I invest, I max out my 401k, IRA, etc...).

What can I do to upgrade my game and reach those higher numbers?
