How many years should I have as an AE before starting to apply for Sales Manager roles?

I think it’ll somewhat improve QOL but with parking, insurance, gas and financing costs I’m not sure spending almost 1K/month is a good idea at 22.

The other problem is that used cars are so damn expensive right now so I can’t just buy a used mx5 for 5-10K
