Have 7 YOE in consulting plus some prior industry experience. Looking to understand salary ranges at KPMG specifically in their change management practice. I think this is at the higher end of their range, but any external manager level hires get $180k plus? Also, what about signing bonuses?
I made 127k last year as new senior manager in audit in NYC
This still blows…
Not sure about audit but about 160k in NYC Tax. 3 years SM can get 200k
It’s ~140’s for top performers all in, bonus in audit isn’t great
Feels like it should be a lot higher. First year Tax SM in MCOL area, and my total comp will be about $150k for a firm in the top 100.
I just got my compensation info for promotion to SM1 in New York. Bumped up to $135,500 and got an $11k bonus. Total compensation is pretty much what I expected.

Mid size firm. If it was big 4 it better be much more to be putting in those 18 hour days. I don't know how people work until 3AM
I am a newly promoted Senior in a HCOL but not as high as New York/California and i’m shocked how much of a pay difference there is. We all get around 67k while I see a lot of seniors on here saying they get around 90k. So I would adjust by a lot if your moving there.
I agree - first year senior in a HCOL - is around 88k to 93k range based on some of the post.
