Hi Guys, Currently in the process to apply for Us/Uk tax consultant role with Deloitte UK, this is experienced hire role not a fresher. Can someone give me an idea as to what is the average pay scale for this role? The estimates on Glassdoor seem quite low for London, considering the cost of living and such.

Where are the offices of Deloitte India (and not USI) in Bangalore ?

I have two offers in hand. KPMG and Deloitte. CTC is almost same whereas variable is more in KPMG. I am inclined towards Deloitte India. But HR in KPMG told me that I won't be able to join KPMG India in future as I accepted their offer. I informed her within 2 weeks and didn't do anything for onboarding. I didn't ask to increase the amount or JB and I strongly believe I informed early so they can look for other candidates. Is this bluff? Any HR here to clarify

I started working for a bank and am going through the background check. They found an arrest which was dismissed and the file was sealed a few days after the check. They’re requesting the police report on top of the court order to seal. The police report is BAD. During the arrest (DUI) they wrote the report to make me seem like a complete lunatic. Embellished on several elements of the case. I am worried that giving them this report will cause me to be let go.

So I'm not trying to be dense, but how is it worth billions of dollars to send Artemis to the moon when we haven't even figure out how to fix our own climate

Quarter life crisis: was in B4 audit for 4 years and took a financial reporting role in industry. It pays well, but kinda want to get into TAS. If I were to go into TAS could I be a senior 2-3?

Anyone else feel like that if they aren’t doing the work themselves then it’s never done correctly? Doesn’t matter what it is - admin to client work - always materially incorrect. Also, doesn’t matter what training I give them - a quick overview or an in-depth working session. And then the Partners ask why I’m exhausted all the time.

Got hired 3 years ago- newly created staff accountant role with the plan that it’ll go into a senior and then manager role. 1.5 years in I get a title promotion to senior, told I’ll get more duties, start supervising AP, and get monetary promotion to match next year. Got way more work, but nothing else promised within that year. Told next money bump would be manager role (no raise for senior still) and I need to take on more and start supervising AP. Again, seeing nothing…time to leave?
