How should Heads/Directors of Production show their portfolio/reel? Obviously there's your work you actually led production on and I've always included that, but should you include work produced by your team, and if so, any tips on how?

I’ve been working at a rather prestigious midsized firm in a big city for almost a year and a half now. I have been having a lot of trouble picking up work from senior partners. We are required to bill at least 150 hours per month to meet our requirement. My months are typically only 110-130 hours. It seems like the senior partners already have their “go to” associate for things. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can increase my workload? I reach out for work pretty much weekly.

Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.

How long after a failed transfer does your stomach and body feel like it’s back to normal? It’s been a little over a week since I got the news that my transfer a few weeks ago didn’t work. What’s everyone using to create estimates for clients and manage resource planning so if the estimates are awarded you have the team in place to deliver. We use Actualize it which is built on FileMaker. I’ve heard of Farmers Wife, F-track and Ceta.
