I’m in between projects. I have been for a while now. So if anyone is looking for a freelance copy and u/x writer, put me in coach! I’m available to work.
Check out my portfolio and let me know if we’re a good profit match.

I’m also open to feedback on my portfolio. Thanks!

Sounds like you might have to learn on the job but definitely dive into some tutorials online first so you have a basic understanding of how the software platforms work, and start creating some demo projects so you can get familiar using the tools yourself. You could also try reaching out to Smartsheet and Salesforce to see if they arrange demos to walk you through just to make sure you understand their functions and features.
You can remind them that MS project is on the out, and if you are serious about the job, you can start your online training with Salesforce and earn the badges they offer. Show them your initiative in the thank you email (something like, I’ve started my self training on Salesforce, attached is a copy of my training badge, etc)
I didn't realize that MS Project was on the out. Does Sales force do all the same things? I'm hoping to start learning in the few weeks I have before I might start the job. Some of these programs don't offer free trials. So now I'm searching for tutorials are any kind of training, YouTube ect. Thanks for the advice!
I'm confused how you would have PMP and no experience in those? If you have PMP, then these should be easy to pick up unless the company is using it at a super advanced level
Hi OP! Coming to you from your previous thread! Unfortunately MS Project and Smartsheets are on the older side of PM tools. Smartsheets is essentially excel but with timeline tracking, dependencies, and critical path built in. It's pretty easy to learn, I'm not sure about access as I accessed through my agency, but couldn't hurt asking customer service for a trial, explain your situation. Smartsheets University is a great self paced learning resource.
I'd ask about Salesforce and what they use specifically because it's a massive ERP with an insane amount of functionality that probably doesn't apply to you.
Thank you that was so helpful! I will have to ask about salesforce period they definitely mentioned it. It sounds like a lot to learn before starting, if they offer me the job. I feel like they want to give me the job. They're just nervous about me learning all the software, and they don't have enough employees to have someone train me. They want me ready to go. In my past positions I did informal PM work along with other job duties. This would be my first true full time PM job...
