My dad who lives in Asia just announced that he had a medical issue. I’m starting to enter the age where I’m going to take care of him financially. I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

Got offered 68k after 2 years as a contractor (62.5k) doing project management/business admin in a tech department at a Fortune 500 bank. I have an A.S degree and working on my bachelor’s/masters may 2024. I negotiated to 84k NYC. I have seen interns get offered 38 per hour (79k) for internship positions with a similar role.

Thoughts? Should I go higher? I do my job well that’s why they decided to keep me as a contractor after my internship.

I finally got a raise (after 10 years) from 45k to 50k with less than 10k in incentives while others who are just starting at lower positions make more than me..I want to bring this up but don’t want to come off in a bad way considering they finally gave me a raise this year.

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
