Its an educational institution.... why the hell do they not have a 403B plan setup?
Can’t help here but shocked they don’t offer health insurance as well.

I have to 3nd specialist 1s remark.... I'm questioning if this is really a credited educational institution or if OP got bamboozled into thinking they work someplace legit..

Its a legitimate accreditation. Should mean the college in question does qualify as a non profit education institution and does qualify for a 403B plan... I'm completely bent sideways over their lack of benefits and low salary for a professor... Even most technical colleges have better base salary and benefits... honestly it may be time to start shopping around for a new employer.
This is not what you asked (because I don't have an answer for that), but is the on-campus housing paid for? If so, could you put the money you would have been spending on rent towards your retirement fund and/or health insurance?
Editing to add: Wait, I just noticed the 30 years continuous teaching. Was it at this college or a different college? If different, do you have any retirement funds from that position?
Yes. All the years at the same place. And no, cannot save up, At the momemnt, I am the only bread winner in a family
