I am in my final year of law school and a certified law student. I made $62,000 salary and I get a $400/month contribution for health insurance. I am the sole paralegal at the firm. I am asking for a salary adjustment, any advice? It seems like I am being paid drastically below the median salary of a paralegal with my skillset.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner. What are people’s thoughts on Fried Franks Real Estate team in NY?

I’m currently a bankruptcy paralegal. Not sure I want to stay in bankruptcy forever. I’ve heard it can be really hard to change practice types and break into a new area of law. Anyone have experience or tips/advice on doing so?
