Hi all, I am a senior looking to get into consulting. I’m studying Accounting and FinTech and with a very respectable GPA and have had 2 internships at B4 audit and F100 strategy. I know it is a little late for some full time roles, so any advice on companies or roles that would fit me would be appreciated.

Many in my MBA program are hyper grade focused. Do grades matter that much post MBA for future job opps at all? My approach has been to balance academics with relationship building and practicing exec presence and for me, pivoting to a new industry

I’ve heard that AP/Principal/SM (the level immediately below Partner) is the hardest place to exit. Is this the prevailing wisdom you’ve heard, and why is it so difficult to exit at that level?

Are there any companies hiring remote rn and willing to take a change on someone looking for a career change? I’m a senior manager in operations, but I just don’t like what I do. Honestly, the money doesn’t speak to me anymore either. I understand I probably need to take a step or two down in level, but I am willing to grind! Thank you!

I'm working in CITi project since 17 months, premapped ro project so, not a single I was in bench til now. In this January they retained me with 70% hike :).

Skills Set :- Java, Springboot, Microservices, SQL.

What all benefits I can get from LTi in next 6 months or so ?
Like Promotion to P3 and OnSite ?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Got an offer from Kantar Consulting to work on their retail/cpg product.
Currently working with IBM with 10+ yoe having joined IBM 10 months back. Currently at 25 lpa and getting an offer of 32 fixed+15% variable.

Now my question is - Is it worth the gamble to leave IBM and join Kantar consulting which btw is known for market research and not consulting.
Also would leaving IBM after 1 year look bad on CV?

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). I recommended a candidate for hire to a manager that reports directly to me. This person is a perfect match, but wanted the manager to obviously recommend. It has to be a fit. The manager just told me my recommendation is not her top pick. I feel frustrated because as much as we talk about the position, I wonder if we are mot aligned on criteria. What do I do? I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?
