How can you have a 2 page resume as an analyst. You haven't even done anything yet.
Yes.
Yes, ask her to make it a one pager and each role/job to be about 2-3 bullets.
1 page per 10 years of experience
It's a referral. They're going to read it.
At the analyst level, the answer is likely yes. I like to think of it this way... the more resumes that come across, the less time people spend looking at them. At the analyst level this makes for thousands every year. The fact is that the person reviewing it will never get to page 2 so if it has anything important on it, get it onto page 1. At a senior manager or MD/P level, more time will be spent and they will want to see your depth of experience. 2-3 pages is reasonable so long as the content is well summarized.
There is no reason why an analyst needs to have 2 pages resume.
Tells me they don't know what's important.
Definitely one page! I'm a Director with 13 years of experience and if I can get my resume to one page, an Analyst certainly should. I would totally roll my eyes if I got a 2-page resume from anyone with less than 10 years of experience.
Always one page
So - who cares?
Most of the ppl I've interviewed last 2 years had at least 5 pages in their resumes -.- would've loved to get 2 pages ones.
Who cares
Yes.
One page, and referrals don't always get read. Trust me.
There's no reason even an experienced person 10-20 years should be bleeding into page 3 or much less 4 or more. It's not a diary. I toss candidates with long resumes for not caring enough about the position to tailor and focus.
