I am at the Consultant level in Technology consulting. What are the best exit opportunities/positions I should look for in a decent size company?

Hello! It seems this bowl is not very active but I'd like it to be. So here's my story: Born & raised in PR, moved to CA for undergrad & have been here since then. I graduated from law school in 2019, followed by a 2 yr bk clerkship. I did the evening program. I really enjoyed law school, in spite of the microaggressions, the late nights, & crazy competition. Love all things diversity in the law. Anyway, currently looking for a position in NYC/DC area. 🤗

Anyone who moved to Product Manager roles in Tech from consulting?

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. Received an offer for non- tech CCM role and wondering if I should accept. I feel like I was lowballed and downleved despite having 6 YOE (relevant but not in tech). Not sure it will be beneficial to leave my current role for this offer to get my foot in the door.

I’m at the cap for salary at the level/role and can’t negotiate offer any higher.

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate. Just one rejection after another, even when applying with internal referrals from Director or Partner levels. What am I doing wrong?

Finished my loop for a marketing role 2 weeks ago, and got an email the next day that they wanted to give me an offer. Had my initial call with recruiter to put the offer together. It was lower than I expected, and we ended that call positively as I needed some time to consider, and we agreed to follow up in a few days. It’s now been a week and both recruiters have been unresponsive. Did I just lose this offer bc I tried to negotiate a more equitable comp pack, or is it a slow process?

I've been exploring exit opportunities for a few months and still holding out for the right opportunity. However, I've had A LOT of recruiters reach out to me for positions that are way below my current salary. They do the whole "your background and expertise is exactly what we're looking for" then turn around and offer a salary range that is 20k below my current level. My resume clearly says I've got 10yrs experience and an MBA. I **don't think* I should be getting offers of 80k-100k
