I am currently working at Amazon India, joined here as a fresher. Been here since more than a year now at the Software Engineer role. I feel very frustrated working here due to excessive work. Eventually I also want to make a move to US/Canada as my family stays there.

Although my title is a consultant, my role entails the usual responsibilities of a PM (prioritizing builds and features, identifying business requirements, mapping user journeys and stakeholder management). At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?
